We Google “ ergonomic chairs ” and immediately we see advertisements for cheap ergonomic chairs, offers, bargains and words from these types of market giants that we all know.

Rather than doubting the quality of these “bargain products” or resorting to sayings such as “cheap is expensive”, we encourage you to reflect on the importance you give to your chair.

It may seem like just another object, like the wardrobe in your bedroom or the beautiful lamp you have in the entrance of your house. However, if we investigate a little more and are able to reflect a little more deeply on our chair, we will realise that it is probably the most used object and the one that “supports” us the most, next to the bed and the sofa.

As we have said on other occasions, sitting is not a natural posture. It is possible and probable that if you have health problems, they have something to do with the hours you spend sitting. Lack of mobility and a sedentary lifestyle lead to loss of muscle mass, overload in the lumbar area and back pain or more serious problems such as a greater probability of suffering from certain diseases. A “cocktail” that is advisable to face.

Doing a quick calculation, we spend more than 200 hours sitting per month, more than 2,000 per year. When you look at it this way, buying a high-quality ergonomic chair is not a bad investment. You will get your money's worth in no time. If you also think about how much money you invested in your last laptop or smartphone, perhaps it becomes even clearer.

Far from being dramatic, let's make sure that the ergonomic chair we buy is a bargain for our pocket, but not for our health.
