Variable is the original office kneeling chair with a unique rocking motion, which gives the body the freedom to find its own balance. It was one of the first prototypes derived from the Nordic "balans" concept, and its design and functionality have made it an instantly recognizable icon. It is an ideal chair for children and short people as reducers can be attached to it to shorten the distance to where the knees rest.

As its name suggests, this chair from Varier allows you to vary between different positions . Its curved guides allow for gentle rocking movements, while the inclined seat allows for an open hip angle. The two cushions located under the seat can be used to support your shins, one foot, both or neither, with your feet flat on the floor. You can also turn or sit sideways if you wish.

This office kneeling chair is designed as an open construction with no mechanical adjustment parts. It is lightweight and can be easily moved. Variable is intended for use with standard height desks. It is available in a natural or black finish and in a wide range of fabrics and upholstery colours. The wooden components are made from beech plies and ash veneer.
